Guernsey Tourist Information
St Sampsons
St Sampsons is divided into two separate sections, the bulk of the parish lying
on the east coast, with a smaller section lying on the west coast. The parish of
Vale borders the parish to the north and also extends between the two parts of St
Sampsons.
The parish church of St Sampsons claims to be the oldest of Guernsey's parish churches
and is a great place to visit. The recent rejuvenation of the working harbour into
a residents' marina in St Sampsons has seen it start to shred its reputation of
'industrial Guernsey'.
There are plenty of attractions in St Simpsons: Delancey Park is a popular park
suitable for many activities, there is a state of the art, 18 lane bowling centre
'The Island Bowl, as well as the popular Oatlands craft centre.
