German Occupation Museum

The German Occupation Museum was opened in 1966 and includes one of the most extensive collections of war memorabilia on the island of Guernsey. The museum has many artifacts, exhibits and Second World War relics on display, covering the five years of the German occupation of Guernsey during WWII from 1940 to 1945.
There are two faithfully restored fortification sites that are the property of the museum and open to visitors. There is a Military Room, Prison and Occupation Kitchen that can all be explored, as well as a full-size street scene, portraying the everyday life during this.
