Regular Guernsey Events - Every Wednesday: ST. PETER'S COUNTRY MARKET - Community Hut, behind St. Peter's
Post Office 10-11am
On sale are fresh produce (salads, potatoes, berries etc), plants and homemade cakes,
pies and jams. Also a craft stall of items all made by hand locally. Parking is

Selling a wide range of locally made produce, plants and vegetables, fish, meat

Post-Christmas and Winter Exhibition Photography

Event: An exhibition chosen by professional photographers, with a wintry theme.This
is also the annual Post-Christmas exhibition. Take a look at Christmas edition stamps
from the past 4 decades! Guernsey Post has launched Christmas special edition stamps
since 1970. This year's set is called Winter Wonderland and is also displayed at

Where: Cobo Bay Hotel Balcony
Event: Founded in 2000, the popular Us4//U2 tribute band has since gained international
fame. In the past few years, they have performed at Cobo's Summer Balcony Gigs and
they will do it again in 2012. Guernsey artist Pete Frampton warms up the crowd.

Itex-Rotary Walk

Event: This 40 miles long walk around Guernsey is held for charity. It is open for

Victor Hugo International Music Festival

Event: The biennial Victor Hugo International Music Festival features classical
artists from all over the world, such as supreme percussion virtuoso Evelyn Glennie
and BBC Young Musician finalist Benjamin Grosvenor. A dancing performance by the
Jewish sephardim takes place at St James' concert hall and the festival's Electric
Nights hit the Princess Royal Centre with a night of improvised brilliance from
The Lighthouse Trio.

Nerine Festival

Where: Candie Gardens, St Peter Port
Event: Candie Gardens is host to an exhibition of Nerines, popularly known as “Guernsey
Lillies”. The display includes hundreds of varieties and colours. Entry is free
and some of the Nerines can be purchased.
Sir Isaac Brock Memorial Day
When: 13 October 2012
Where: Castle Cornet
Event: 200 years after Sir Isaac Brock died at the Battle of Queenston Heights,
we celebrate in remembrance at Castle Cornet.
International Chess Festival
When: 21 October 2012 - 28 October 2012
Where: Peninsula Hotel, Les Dicqs, Vale
Event: The International Chess Festival attracts international Masters every year.
This is a Swiss competition with cash prizes to win.
