A former country house, the 3 Star La Barbarie was converted into a hotel in 1950
and the old quiet charm has never left. Located in a quiet wooded valley in the
parish of St. Martins, it is a relaxing Guernsey country hotel that only a lucky
few discover, and its location is ideal for Saints Bay and coves on the South coast.
Rooms
La Barbarie hotel has 22 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and come fully equipped
with: colour television, radio alarm, trouser press / iron, tea and coffee making
facilities, central heating, direct dial telephones and hair dryers.
La Barbarie hotel has 20 standard double/ twin rooms, 9 superior rooms and 1 two
room suite with balcony.
Our hotel suite has 2 rooms and is equipped to the highest standards and is suitable
for a family wishing to have the children in separate but connected accommodation,
or for a couple who would appreciate the added comfort of a private lounge.
Cots/highchairs are available to hotel guests for free and all bedrooms are classified
as non smoking.

Restaurant
Restaurant La Barbarie is an award winning restaurant and has received the following
accolades: 'Most inventive starter', 'Best Restaurant Service', 'Best in Competition
Category' and 'Overall Winner - Guernsey Restaurants of the Year'. With a daily
changing, fixed price four course dinner menu, restaurant La Barbarie represents
excellent value for money.
There is a full English or Continental breakfast served daily, bar lunches and an
'à la carte' menu is available until 9.00pm. The enjoyment of food is considered
a social as well as a culinary experience and the staff are helpful and friendly.
