Although the rooms need updating they were comfortable.Attention from staff was excellent and the dining room was a real pleasure.The menu was always interesting,the food was so fresh and was always served promptly and in ample quantity.Good staff and good management.

Pleasant bed and breakfast hotel plus good evening meal if required. Staff friendly/helpful. Good value.

The Le Chêne Hotel is a well appointed 2 Star country house hotel dating from 1842
and perfectly located in the parish of Forest. A popular family run hotel, it has
a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere and an ideal retreat for walkers and nature lovers
due to the near-by cliff path walks and leisurely walks through the forest. To encourage
a more relaxing holiday atmosphere, the hotel does not accept children under the
age of 12 years, nor can any pets or animals be accepted.
Rooms
Le Chene Hotel has 26 bedrooms and is centrally heated throughout. All standard
bedrooms are en-suite and include shower with WC, colour television, direct dial
telephone, hair dryer, radio and tea / coffee making facilities including complimentary
tea and coffee.
There are a number of "Superior Rooms", which include all of the above but also
include bath with shower and WC, mini bar / refrigerator, trouser press and superior
furnishings including armchairs and coffee table.
There are also
Self Catering Apartments available at Le Chene Hotel.
Restaurant
In the restaurant at Le Chene Hotel the Chef prepares interesting and varied menus
of good, wholesome, home cooking and there is always a good variety of affordable
wines. All guests have their own individual table in the non-smoking restaurant.
There is also a bar called the Cellar Bar and is ideal for a pre-dinner drink.
Swimming Pool
Alongside the apartments and sheltered by trees and shrubs is the outdoor heated
(May to September) Swimming Pool and sun trap terrace.
